Recommended Reading for Mental Health Awareness Month

There are many aspects of wellness that affect young readers, including emotional, social, physical, and intellectual wellness. These aspects are intersectional, with one often affecting another. Use developmentally appropriate books to open lines of communication about mental health. By talking about mental health, we destigmatize it and make students and patrons feel more comfortable asking questions or raising concerns about their own well-being.
